New at board from France

Post by goldfingers » Fri Jul 17, 2015 10:04 am

Hello,everybody.
I am not realy new on this forum, but after some long months,I thinck that post my work should be a great pleasure to many collectors.
In the sixties/seventies I was the DINKY-TOYS Company modelman. That means that all new models for the period '65/'71 was passed by my hands.
After the lock-out of DINKY-TOYS of Paris,I took the choice to stop my activity and gone to an over way.
No satisfied by different job,I return to the miniature activity with the création of ELEGANCE Models in '78 ,starting with much hand made transformations of SOLIDO,RIO,etc.
The reel start of ELEGANCE has been the modeling and resin cast of my personnal creations with ROLLS-ROYCE and CADILLAC.
Now retired since 1999 ,surely it was no question to me to stop my pleasure to make models.
So I do now many transformations ( I take many chinese production as base to work ) as CADILLAC and ROLLS-ROYCE for my pleasure and decided to post somme of my models to this forum.
I hope that my english is not too bad to be understand,in fact,it is easier to me to be good in models realisation.
Regards

Welcome. I would enjoy hearing more about how you modified your models and also what it was like in the early days of diecast working for Dinky.

Welcome to the world's best 1:43 forum. As a youngster in the 1950s I was an avid Dinky Toys (UK) collector. In the early 1960s Meccano actually imported some of the French Dinky models and I had the Unic Saharien Pipeline transporter and a yellow Glazier Truck and then stopped collecting as I started work in the print industry. French Dinky was fascinating for it's different subjects. I hope we hear more about your career.
