Old member returning

Post by CraigyGT » Sun Sep 13, 2015 8:20 pm

Hi guys.

Returning to collecting and the forum after a few years. Was round here when this first started up. Went quiet after a lot of personal and family problems came around and feel like I owe an apology for dropping off the radar.

That aside I'm starting to build a collection up again but not as quick as last time.

Cheers

Craig

Craig - I definitely remember you. No need to apologize IMO. Life happens. Welcome back!

Hi Craig, I don't recall if our time on the forum overlapped, but welcome back. Nice to see you haven't lost your passion for models despite life's ups and downs.

I dont know you as I signed up after you last posted (almost 4 years to the day) so welcome to the forum.

Would be fun second time building a collection..apart from the possible price hikes since.

Hello mate

Welcome back

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

Welcome back, I am probably another one of those who have signed up here after you took your break from the forum. Certainly nice to see the original members coming back. Looking forward to seeing your collection growing. Slow is probably the wise way to go - but also hard sometimes. :)

Morning gents and thanks.

I'll be focusing on Touring and Rally cars now. Nothing else.

Welcome back, Craig, it's been a while. Are you still collecting model planes?

Thanks guys. I'm a bit out of the loop.

Can someone tell me if there are any new players in the scale now? I heard HPI went under but someone else releases them now.

Ignition took over resin releases from HPI

I don't think anyone has produced the diecast releases

Minichamps still churn out models using the old castings from 5 - 6 years ago, so you didn't really miss much while you were away :D .

Welcome back Graig. Glad to see you here.
It might be worth taking a look at IXO. they are as quirky as ever,
but make a lot of rally cars.
Seem to do a reasonable job as well.
