Hello from Lincolnshire

Post by klubman01 » Sun Oct 08, 2017 5:15 am

I've only recently found this forum, but have been model making for many years.
My main interests are Le Mans and Can-Am cars, but with occasional models of other types.
I am a builder of resin kits such as Marsh Models, Starter, etc.

Welcome, Trevor. I'm looking forward to see your models. Le Mans fan here also! As mentioned above by our fellow collectors, I would also like to learn more about building kits, I am planning to take a deep dive on this new form of hobby (for at least) someday in the future.

Good to see yours.

Wicked, I should be moving back soon, hopefully get my collection out of its boxes.

I have a collection of Le Mans and touring cars of the late sixties and seventies, but moved to road cars.

Welcome from another Lincolnshire resident, I'm near Spalding. I do have some unmade resin and white metal kits that will never get made by me as I'm too lazy and not very skillful. I have been sorting out my models from the packing boxes from when I moved here at the end of 2014 and keep finding all sorts of stuff. Currently getting my model display room set up with varied themes including older racing cars, handbuilts, old Corgi/Dinky/Spot-On etc. Four more cabinets to be built and filled then it's done! If you're in the area and would like to have a look just get in touch.

Thank you everyone for your warm welcome.

I've been trying to start a topic on my Can-Am cars bit I can't seem to work out how to insert images. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance

Best way to do images is to host them on a third party site and then link them onto here

Flickr, Imagr and there are many other - But not photobucket

Post Image dot Org is good since the Photoshop disaster. If you Google it it's easy to sign up to and straightforward to use.

Welcome to S1/43! Im very curious to learn about your methods and techniques of building model cars, please show us some photos of the working steps. The fellows already gave tips for hosting photos, I meanwhile work with flickr.com and I am very satisfied with it. (Using Photobucket is a sort of suicide, as you already know...) However, if you need any help, simply let us know :P

Thanks very much to you, and the others who offered advice.
I'm away for the next two weeks so I will attempt to post photos of my completed models, plus intermediate steps where applicable, when I get back.
In the meantime, happy modelling!
