Do it! I've got several including the infamous (locally at least) Jags and the 98 Porsche GT1. They've got the Toyota TS series in prep for production and Mac F1GTR's as well coming. They cost way less than 1:18 but are very good for detail. Guaranteed not to disappoint. :D

Then we'll start to guide you through things new and amazing. But that's Dave's department.

Yeah, I was looking through some photos of the Nuremberg toy fair and I was quite excited to see the Toyota GT1 (already cast in metal) and the McLaren F1 GTR longtail (in plaster I believe). I'll never be able to afford an AUTOart 1:18 Toyota GT1, and there are rumors that the Minichamps 1:18 Mclaren F1 might be a re-release of the old UT mold, so those HPi's are looking mighty tempting.

Well I am sure that the molds were good in their day,but keep in mind thier day was10 -12 years ago. Things are waaaayyy better now. especially in 1:43. At one point I owned all of the AA Mac's except the Planet Hollywood car(star and Stripes livery). The interior detail was unimpressive, Ixo does better in 1:43. And they were nice models but bloody buckets of money. The HPI's will be crisper and their Toyotas have me in a lather already...I am going to be very poor by December. ....but have many, many little cars.
I have high hopes the Mac's show up someday in shorttail!
Hpi makes you want to spend a little more ...ok not really, but I will if I have to.

Yeah, I've got a little long tail McLaren from IXO and it's a great little diecast, although the paint appears to have been applied witha fairly watery consistancy. I might fix that one day.

Pretty much all body types of the Lancia Delta's have been produced by HPI, so I think there's a high chance that the short tailed McLarens will be produced. Well, that would be the logical thing to do :?

Does anyone have an idea of when the HPI McLarens and Toyota GT1's will be released?

It's the first time that I've ever heard that this Pegaso is called "the Thrill"! I love this car!!! It is my favourite Pegaso, with a body by my favourite Italian designer (Carrozzeria Touring), made for a iconic lady (Evita Perón), whom never drove it! ;)

Just ordered the Spark Vector W8 in white - here's hoping it's as good as it looks in the photos.

Arabella or P100 Julio? - they're both great - I received the P100 today.

Anyway, I've just bought an Abrex Skoda 1000 MB from a Chinese ebayer - keeping up on my Eastern Europeans.

The P100, Steve! ;)

The P100 was Borgward's last car. It was last produced in Mexico, after Borgward sold its name and equipment to a Mexican company (FANASA), back during the early 60s. Borgward survived as a Mexican company only for a few years. Production ceased in 1970.

Did you get the black with white top P100? I saw photos of it, and I think that it looks superb! :ugeek:

Yes - that's the one Julio. So far it's only available in black & white and as a special, from Modelcar World, in silver.

I've had that Lagonda on pre-order since it was announced - the Vector is already on the way.

Thanks for the information on the silver one. I prefer the black and white one! ;)
