Thanks for the link to that great video, Steve! ;)

NEO will be producing some really cool stuff this year. I loved that old Silver Ghost (or, was that a Phantom I?), and the fact that they plan to reproduce some Chrysler models. An Imperial by NEO would be fabulous!!! ;)

Definitely not a Ghost Julio.

Possibly the best coverage so far
http://www.auto-und-modell.de/

Check out especially down the bottom of the Autoart page - those are 1:43. Look out HPI.
Spark have a very busy year planned by the looks of things though Babelfish did struggle with the translation.
Finally check out the Vauxhall wagon on the oxford page (looks frantically for vomiting smilie)

Cheers

This definitely gets my vote for the best coverage so far. Thanks for sharing.

Lots of goodness from IXO is the way. :D

I'm also surprised to see 2 more manufacturers releasing the MR2 222D (Hotworks/Wits & IXO/Premium-X) in addition to current offering from CM's Corp.

Did anyone else noptive the Camaro Z-28 prototype casting? IXO is looking ambitious. If they get the "good model" made then it might be nice. Hope it's not their "B" team working on it.
The next year is looking kinda interesting isn't it... ;)

Did anyone notice Spark's mention of the following:

'59 Cadillac
'59 Impala
'65 Riviera and
'66 Toronado!

Amazing all these iconic American cars finally being modelled by quality makers!

No I don't. But I might have to buy one anyway ;) The conversion though is actually by Friary of Basingstoke according to Maz Woolley whose neighbour owns the 1:1 that was measured for the model.

Who isn't looking at all that wealth. Fortunately we can rely on Aa not making it to the shelves this year, nor half of what Minichamps have announced, nor probably ixo. If Spark and NEO achieve all their schedule it will be a miracle.

As for the actual ixo schedule I can think of several racing versions they could do based on that Camaro casting (Jagermeister, SCA and Chaparral). Did you also notice the large number of trucks on display. Looks like a major new direction for probably iST.

Lee,
Better IXO than the others. You can nearly afford to keep up with IXOs

And a few days ago we were talking about NEO doing a '63 Riviera or a '66 Toronado, instead of the Continental MkVI sedan! :o

Both the '59 Cadillac and the '59 Impala have been done far too many times before. They should try a '60 Cadillac or '60 Impala, instead!

The auto modell report has been updated, but you really, no I mean it you REALLY, don't want to check out the NEO page

How gorgeous is that P5! And all those Pontiacs, and the 74 Buick, and the 73 LTD. See I told you not to look

Also some nice stuff on the Minichamps 1:43 page Embiricos Bentley anyone? 82 Aston Martin Lagonda, 75(76?) Torino, and what looks like a new casting of the 91 Jager Opel. Oh Yes It Shall Be Mine

WOW!!! The Embiricos Bentley looks fabulous! :o Pity that Minichamps is wasting time doing a mid-70s Ford Gran Torino (like Starsky and Hutch's)!

And the models at the NEO section look very interesting too. There's a Silver Cloud III-S3 H.J.Mulliner-Park Ward coupe, a Bentley Corniche coupe and that gorgeous old Rolls-Royce (what makes you say that it "definitely" is not a Silver Ghost, Lee?). ;)

Hi Jeff...This is a car I was VERY excited about last year! That's when Ixo/PremiumX first announced it. It doesn't seem to have progressed at all since then, the same model master is shown! This is one of my all-time most desired models - at this point I wish NEO would make it, think they might do a better and perhaps faster intro? You may be interested in knowing that a small-time Austrian model maker was/is also developing this car, but it too has NOT materialized after over 4 years of development time! I suppose it could still happen though? Have a look... http://www.madle.org/emodel43.htm

And a few days ago we were talking about NEO doing a '63 Riviera or a '66 Toronado, instead of the Continental MkVI sedan!

Hi Julio :) I'm still excited about the models I mentioned - I suppose I am just gullible for ANY high-quality (Neo, SPark etc) old American car! I'm sure you're right about the '59 models being made before but I am not familiar? Were they done recently and with etched parts for in th $60 USD range? Either way, it would be nice to have these cars from Spark - so happy they're diversifying their product focus....hmmm, I don't really collect Le Mans cars ;) BTW, I still wish someone would do a Mark III !!! This would be a stunner! Did you notice the 1974 Buick Electra? I know you're a bigger fan of the '50s-'60s American cars and I can certainly understand this - most would agree with you, but I do have a soft spot for the 70s-80s models, perhaps because I grew up with many of these cars on the road, and some in my family :)
Happy Collecting

Never seen a ghost with that bodywork. This is now confirmed as a P1 in the auto und modell report on NEO.

No, as far as I know they haven't been produced in the $60 USD range. But... '59 Cadillac and Chevrolets again??? Why not '59 Imperial and Plymouths instead! :)

And, I agree 100% with you, a Mark III would be fantastic, maybe a 1972 Mark IV too! :)

Yes I did! That is very nice! And, I do like some of the American cars of the 70s and the 80s, and the Electra is certainly among them! A 1974-75 Imperial (or 1976-78 New Yorker) would be a great car to see as a 1:43 model! ;)

Thanks for your answer, Lee! ;)

But, what I wanted to know is how can you tell the difference between late Silver Ghosts and early Phantom Is? They're so similar! I thought that perhaps there was something to look for to see the difference. :geek:
