Postby Paulius43 » Thu Aug 13, 2015 3:38 am

Just saw this one - I had even considered for a second to get this as Breaking Bad is (was?) my favorite series:

A set of photoetched wipers and maybe side mirrors and I'd be all over it. I've never seen the series but odd subjects like motorhomes interest me and I'm not sure I have the money for whoever just released the 60s Dodge Travco. So far, all of the Greenlight stuff I've seen has fallen into the toy-ish realm. I've never seen the promos they did for Ford, just the tv/movie stuff. I may buy one of their Chargers though, because my Matchbox 1966 Chevelle has two broken wheels and I can't find decent replacements for a reasonable price.

looking at it again, those wipers are so hideous that I don't know why Greenlight didn't say "You know what? Let's just leave them off"

I had it in my hands and while it's a tempting piece, it is 1/64. I will get it eventually.

I finally have this motorhome coming to me for my collection.

Received email from Greenlight that they will have a new 1:43 scale Presidential Limousine series. I like the 1961 Limousine and the 1972 one. I don't know why they decided to make the 2009 one when this casting already was done by another manufacturer and ended up at the closeout store. Here is the link to the pictures.

The retail from Greenlight on them Limousines is $19.99. When released 2 of them I will be buying for my collection.

They look nice, though the grille on the '62 could use some blackwash.

Is that Lincoln the one that was dubbed "The Quick Fix"?

That's correct! I have the Minichamps version.

I would love to get that 1972 limousine in 1:43, since I already have YatMing's 1:24. 8-)

I hope they start a new mold on the 2009 Cadillac Limousine "The Beast", instead of buying the one from Luxury Collectibles and re-work that. They did this on the grey "Eleanor" from the film "Gone in 60 Seconds" by re-working the Yat Ming Shelby GT500 and that looks awful.

Cheers,
Adam

Received email from Greenlight that the photos of the 3 Limousines been updated.

Looks like the 2009 Limousine is a different casting from the Luxury one (but similar) as there are no opening doors on the Greenlight version. But the Greenlight version looks more like a toy to me. Apparently on the 1972 Limousine this will be done for 2 Presidents, so not exactly a limited edition. But still looks nice for the price and I think I will be getting one for the collection when released.

Vadim, would you by any chance have any idea how much purchase and shipping to me in Scotland would be for the newly released 1:64 triple pack "Smokey & The Bandit" Chevy C-10, Trailer and Trans-am? Might be interested in two of them, one to open and one to keep sealed.

Thanks Vadim

I do not sell Greenlight, but I will PM you a website where I had ordered mine from, which has very good prices and service. Also you better hurry up and order what you want this year, as I read yesterday that USPS postal rates are going up January 16th, (maybe 17th). International first class mail is going up by a whopping 19.6%. Here is the link to that rate increase.

Ouch! That will pretty much kill off any incentive to from US sellers. Although I might have to check how NZPost's Tenso style deal stacks up.

Cheers
