X2 . Compare the model to the reflection in the glass it is really off in the windscreen rake. Keep my old Maitso 1/40 from the Shell Collection for a while I think. It can't be any worse! Ian

I've got the Shell 1:40 too. I note that Premium X are doing red, green and yellow in roof-off form according to a 'The Diecast Company website". Shame they're resin.

So is IXO back in the Ferrari business? Lots of new ones at Replicarz, or are they just re-stocks?

There's a couple of problems I have with the Daimler; the generic wheels and the ridiculous dinner pate of a radiator mascot. However, being as the only real alternative is the £250 IIario version I guess I may just have to cough up. :?

I thought that the Altaya version had been out for a while? There was also the Western kit, but this looks better. Body by Corsica I think.

I think the Ixo is an upgraded Altaya with the same radiator mascot/badge but worse wheels and details and the Western is just too primitive by today's standards.

Yes Ian, the body is by Corsica.

Altaya's red with black version has been out for some time, but I prefer this Ixo version, I feel that all-black fits it much better.

Finally a Viper with a good livery. Seems like they were all white for a while.

I have noticed re-stocks elsewhere. Could mean just another production run, but perhaps even existing models ceased production if there were licence issues etc.

How ironic, a Viper and it's green! That is gorgeous Scott, and I agree, the bland colors on many of these racers do them NO favors! Is this a new release?

Possible warning! it would seem that this car is based off a photoshop and not an actual car. Since the photo of the "1/1" is the only one I've found on the net I cannot prove otherwise.

Reeft has already posted this in the WRC winners thread, but I thought it should be here as well for the non rallyists.

http://www.ixomodels.com/yearbook/ixo2012yearbook.pdf
Not as many models as previously (as seems to be the industry trend).

Good points
2 (thats TWOx Possum Bourne cars YeeHaa!!!!!
Amon/McLaren Daytona 1966 GT40
Safari 240RS
Fiesta Test Car (the Black scheme)

Bad points
No Sign of the Tony Teesdale 6R4
or the 86 and 87 KKK cars.
Nor most of the 2011 works Citroens (means it is Spark all the way if collecting the lot - Ouch!)
I am fairly sure all the Museum cars are either already out or merely recolours.

But did I mention TWO Possum Bourne Subies!! :Happy Dance:

Following my disappointment with seeing some of the items that have disappeared between 2011 and 2012 I sent the following to ixo

Dear Sir/Madam,

In comparing the .pdfs of the subject yearbooks I am rather dismayed to note the following models from the 2011 book which have neither been issued to my knowledge nor are carried over to the new yearbook.

MOC108 Lamb Gallardo Netherlands Police
RAC116 Metro 6R4 Tony Teesdale
RAC119 Peugeot 205T16 Evo2 Finland1986 Kankkunen
RAC120 Lancia Delta RAC 1987 Kankkunen
RAM358 Skoda Fabia S2000 Norway 2009 Sandell
GTM080 Mazda 787B #18 Autopolis
GTM081 Mazda 787B #201 Autopolis

Are these still planned or have they been cancelled altogether ?

On a brighter note I am VERY happy to see the two Possum Bourne Subarus in the 2012 yearbook and hoping they will make it to production before years end.

Thank You
Lee Tracey

Thanks Lee (& Reeft). Its pretty slim pickings for Le Mans collectors compared to IXO's past offerings, but at least it confirms they will do the 2011 Oreca's which licensing issues prevent Spark from offering.
