The 150 was the entry level model so the custom wheels in the photo are an odd choice.

Yeah, it would be better if they focus on making 80's & 90's American cars. The Ford Taurus or the Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera etc. might be a better choice.

I can still remember the times it was normal all wheels were "chrome" because that was the only affordable way they could make them. How happy we were when they started making them in realistic aluminium colour.
So I really don't understand why BoS doesn't use chrome. I can only think of one reason: not to produce them cheaper, but to let them appear to be cheaper. But, even when these models are cheap rip-offs of expensive brands like Matrix, they are anything but cheap.

I guess they did well on some models and screwed up on some. I just hope that they have a more consistent choice of subjects. Also, it would be great if the can provide a list of planned future release models. Their releases seems to be very Ad-Hoc.

I have BoS Fisker Karma and Pontiac Fiero which are pretty nice models but looking at the pics of some other cars they make, leads me to think their quality is inconsistent. Still, some of their subjects are interesting, both 1/43 and 1/18. Future release plan would be great to see also.

I've never liked the extremely overrated '57 Chevies, let alone their pathetic looking entry level models! So, I think that BoS Models wasted their time doing such dreadful cars!

As for BoS quality, it's usually erratic. It sometimes is quite good, but some other times it is definitely not good at all... :?

I guess they haven't made the cars you wanted yet. The first BoS I got was the 1992 Cadillac STS, cause I used to drive a 1994 STS, and it looks quite accurate in terms of shape. But I did a bit of conversion and added some parts they missed. I also got the 1988 Buick Riviera, 1984 Pontiac Fiero, Fiska Karma, Chevrolet Caprice taxi, 1992 Cadillac Eldorado and the Ford Probe GT. I just hope they made more 80's and 90's mainstream American and Japanese cars. Some of the suggestions are as follows:

1) 1988 Ford Taurus SHO
2) Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera
3) 1992 Toyota Camry V6XLE
4) 1991 Acura Legend sedan and coupe
5) 1992 Lexus ES300
6) 1992 Lexus SC400
7) 1993 Infiniti J30
8) 1990 Mercury Grand Marquis
9) 1988 Cadillac STS, Cimmaron, Eldorado
10) 1992 Buick LeSabre
11) 1994 Nissan Maxima
12) 1988 Acura Legend sedan and Coupe
13) 1994 Buick Century wagon
14) 1985 Buick Electra wagon
15) 1990 Honda Accord EX sedan
16) 1988 Lincoln Continental
17) 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora
18) 1995 Buick Riviera

My list can go on.......

Cheers,
Adam

I guess a future release list would depend on early notification of a certain other brands release schedule. ;)

For those which don´t like the light blue colour on Gordon Keeble by Matrix, here you have a maroon version by BoS...

Well Keko, unlike many on this site I actually prefer the pale blue of the Matrix. However, I prefer the lower price and appropriately sized box of the BoS. I think I'll wait a while before committing. :?

Shall we continue BoS news in this thread instead of creating a new one?? It may be easier to located all models in one thread through years.

Great tuning news: Opel Manta B Mattig, metallic-gelb/metallic-blau 1991

I've tried to watch it, it's as bad as the colour combo on the car.

What? Bad memories of 1988 :P I agree, it's really tacky, even to my nostalgic foolhardiness!

Amazing, Mattig Manta. Sure it's tacky, but these are 80s on steroids. :D
I only hope we can get more crazy eighties stuff.

I'll second that request, albeit hoping for something more 'stock'!

Great user name by the way! I've only known TWO things with that moniker! The iconic Mopar car and a sandwich sold at Denny's restaurant in the 1980s :P BB

Modelcarworld photos are very bad. Believe me, BoS uses same moulds from Matrix & Neo.

Thanks. I didn't know about the Superbird sandwich. Did some research and looks like they still sell them. 8-)

Gordon-Keeble, the rarest car I've ever driven in. One of 99 back in 1995 in Boca Raton, Florida. Funny thing is the car in question was the SAME color as the burgundy model shown. Going to surely get one of these at BoS prices.
