Man, along with the superior carftsmanship and photography all MU models look like real cars in pictures!

I'm sure they're well aware of this, and it doesn't bother them....

It's no secret they announce and go forth releasing models that have been produced by others of years past....
Yet, they still sell....

Makeup and others are not aiming to compete directly against the likes of what you mentioned...

As long as the level of build quality is maintained and standards held high, there will be a steady
stream of dedicated, repeat customers willing to pay more for something extra... :)
I hear you. But still don't get the point. The quality is almost 1-1, the HPI has a removable hood, the HPI's are better than Spark and are struggling to sell for the price of IXO.

In the meanwhile these cars go unreleased:

That would make a nice Christmas tree ornament. I wonder if the Aventador LB is far behind.

I agree... :)

Would make a fine tree topper, that's for sure...

Regarding the LB Aventador...

I think Makeup wants to get through production with LB Murcielago first before tackling the Aventador...

However, looks like high-end builder Davis & Giovanni beat them to it...

LB Aventador in baby blue coming soon...limited 60 pieces.... :)

Compared to the 1:1 pictures, looks like he did a pretty decent job replicating...decals and all... :)

I know I am getting ahead of myself here, but....

How's about a LB Huracan!!

Huracan looks good, might have to get that too. I don't think I'd buy the blue Aventador since I already have the blue 458, I'll take one in this color:

I'm looking forward to seeing pics of the 458 Tom, I assume you have not posted pics yet as I can't recall seeing any? as I have been eyeing up the exact same one on the bay but the price is pretty hard to swallow to say the least :?

I'd much prefer it consuming the in-laws instead, Steve....

Hey....That's the "TRON" Aventador...Even glows in the dark... :D

Here it is in action throwing a few revs and catching on fire in the process....

I love how the driver takes off thinking it's gonna put out the flames...

Eventually, it comes to rest where a bottle of Evian Water saves the day...

The silver/chrome one is already out. I almost bought one of their McLarens some time ago, that was as close as I ever came to owning one of their models. They make Make Up look like a toy - price wise.

If the driver had a Dollar for every brain cell in his head, he wouldn't be able to afford a beer. What a waste.

The silver/chrome one is already out.
Hi Tom.....Yes, and along with several other colors as well....

If you are considering, I would hold off...

D&G released several LB Aventador's a short time ago....

At first glance, it looks to be the signature wide body....

However, a closer look reveals that it is anything but....

Image

This is the deal breaker...What a complete, and utter disappointment... :(

It just looks like your standard issue Aventador with decals, a lackluster wing, and front lower/rear bumper upgrade...

Where are those child bearing hips?!....

I spoke with my D&G dealer and was told there are currently only plans for the wide body version in baby blue....

if you change your mind, it might just be your only color choice... :)

You're right, Tommy, it is a deal breaker. I wouldn't buy the standard body LB Aventador, where's the fun in that? I'll wait and see what else turns up.

Of those Huracan colors, the silver has already been sold out through Makeup....

Surely, I thought the Matte Black would be the first to say, "sayonara".... :D

Looks like a Rabid bull in that color, especially when paired with the two-tone black/yellow seats + brake calipers....

Blue would looks fantastic with black wheels...

Latest news directly from Makeup...

"Just completed the 3D scanning and photoshoot of the LB Works Nissan GTR"... :o

They are planning on producing it in 1/43 and later in 1/18 scale...

Seriously dude, these guys need to slow down because I think they are trying to annihilate us 1/43 collectors with these announcements... :D

I was wondering if anyone would do the GT-R and Make Up seems to be a good fit. As much as I like the bright colors on Lambos and other Italian exotics, my GT-R would be silver.

:geek: Well now thats VERY interesting news from Makeup! Who makes Makeup? Do they have their own factory, or contract out? Because Ignition just recently posted that they have just scanned some Liberty GT-R's too, complete with pics (I'll put them in the Iggy 2015 thread). No release date for them though.
