Odds & ends - 2015

Post by Rat » Sun Jan 11, 2015 4:10 pm

This nice light blue color just came out but I think I'll wait for a white one.

That will be the colour of my pre ordered one when it arrives in the UK Dealer network.

Perhaps it's just losing the novely factor, but to me the i8 looks more 'normal' in that colour for some reason.

Collecting mine (blue) today as the dealer has advised me that it's arrived. If the price is ok I might also opt for the white one too.

When 'The Price Is Right' I'll come on down and get one with blue trim.

25 smackers. Got to be a good deal at your nearest BM dealer. There are a few other models on my radar so the white one will get added in due course.

There hasn't been much new stuff from Exoto (1/43) in recent memory but they have two new transporters coming out and they look good.

2 new paint jobs anyway. I like the Renault version the best.

I've got the diecast metal ones by Detail Cars and Kyosho/Howsakt and am missing yellow from the palette. I know HPI did the 300ZX in yellow but it was a resin job...

Thanks for the heads up Tom. It gives me time to decide which bank to rob so I can afford them !

I've seen pictures of the 1:1 JCB version :

However, my feeling is the Ferrari verions is fictitious. It was painted in a Ferrari livery for Steve McQueen's 'Le Mans' movie, but was never used by Ferrari itself.

You're correct, Ian. As far as I know, both versions were used in the movie and never by the actual Ferrari team. I have the other 2 Exoto Bartoletti Ferrari transporters that came out long time ago.

That's just about as good as it gets and those headlights are the best I've seen yet. Very nice.

I'll let you know how it compares to others if I get a chance to see it up close and personal.... :D

Hoping to see D&G release some LB 458 Spiders around the same time as well....The color combo below is just stellar... :)

I'm not a huge fan of black cars but I'd willing to pay a D&G price for something as stunning as that. :o
