Ford looks good, but is this going to be one of those models that every model manufacturer producers ?

If TSM, Spark, Minichamps and IXO all end up producing their own versions of this, they'll end up heavily discounted because there is massive oversupply.

P1 with open doors, has got my attention, that photo is not the greatest to tell yet. I don't think I can recall TSM ever doing an open door version of anything before so this seems to be new territory for them so it could be a make or break move for them. Would love to have an open door version to display 8-)

It reminds me of the yacht in James Bond's Thunderball, where he leaves the back end behind and zooms off. The front of the car is perpetually exiting from a cocoon.

Maybe the LeMans entry will grow on me...
I thought I would be all over this, but apparently I am not.
Can't explain.

Is it bad that I want that PT6 and that 935 K3 engine just to stick in some absurd project?

Were those announced in the '60s so that they've now been scrapped in favour of more recent cars?

That stinks, that the Chaparrals have ben cancelled, I really liked the Signature set with the 2D and 2E, and was looking forward to the others. These are much better quality than Minichamps, i'll have to dig out the the 2H and 2J MC now to complete the display

The model i was most looking forward to was the 2E. Didn't buy the 2 car set because i was not after another 2D but now it looks like that is what I have to do if i ever want a 2E.
Its always something.

Yeah, the 2E and 2H are the two models on that list that I will miss.

I too am bummed over dropping the Chaparrals. They seem to sell out of every version they released of a Chap so I was a little surprised that those were swept into the discontinued pile at all. Oh well....sigh

I'm disappointed they dropped the Jagermeister pit crew - I think Jagermeister is such a popular theme these would have sold well.

I think part of the the problem was their last sets of figures didn’t sell very well, due to the subject matter (eg Beta and Tyrell). Adding oversized caps on the heads of the Martini crew probably didn't help these sell either, especially for anyone who wanted to display them with classic 70's Martini Porsches :

The final straw was probably also the $10 price increase. At $25 these were very interesting, but less so at $35 each.

I have finally stopped shreiking in my garage long enough to post....
I sold off my AA Chaparral 2 and a couple of my Minichamps
releases in order to make room for these ones. My signature set
of the 2D and 2E were quite exquisite and that was enough to make
me unload the others before their value fell off to nothing...
The joke is on me. Thanks for nothing TSM. I had about six (i think, but at least 4)
Chaparrals on pre-order. Thanks for nothing TSM.

Did I say thanks for nothing?

I guess that Sebring 2F will go through the roof now...
Better get looking.

Most of these cancellations were figurines and probably weren't expected to be huge sellers anyway. But aside from a minor Porsche all of the cars were Chaparrals. I have to wonder if Jim Hall wanted too much money. I feel for your loss but question the practice of releasing cars that have already been done, and fairly recently, when there are so many others that haven't.

I thought they would have done more with their Corvette moulds. There are numerous Le Mans, Daytona and Sebring versions they could do, but the 3 shown above don't excite me.

The Daytona coupes  = me being frustrated.

On the same subject, I saw Wayne Moyer over at diecast.orfg first singing the praises about how the TSM Cobras were the best that had ever been made has now retracted his original opinion and has decided to sell off his sample.
