Debating on if I should pre-order the red one now (only one on Amiami not sold out) or wait and see if the blue one will get restocked... :?

It seems the rally cars announced by HPI but never released before they folded have a second chance. Ignition is teaming up with Kyosho for the "Headliner" brand http://headliner-model.com.

It will be very hard for me to resist the 1:18 Stratos models.

Finally, a high-end A110 that looks really good too. Not prepared to sink Iggy money into it, though. Stratos and R5T look equally good.

Agreed but a couple of those Monte Carlo A110's will find their way here.

WARNING to all fellow collectors.

I've had the Ignition Toyota 91 and 92 race car models for less than a year. Only kept them in a dark cupboard and the decals have turned yellow on one of the cars. I paid 150 USD for that piece of shit!!

that is terrible, I have always liked the Ignition JSPC Nissans and always thought i would pick one up one day, but this really puts me off. They're certainly not a cheap item and I would expect the quality and materials used to reflect the price point. I assume the HPI released Nissans would be the same?

Right now it looks like the Nissans aren't affected. Its a problem with decals on a white background - they membranes have turned yellow. Could be that I'm not noticing it on the Nissans yet, because the background is blue. The HPI Nissans seem to be fine (there are some decals on on white body) Right now only this model is affected, where all decals appear yellowed:

But its hard to believe it will be the last one.

Believe it or not, but an old modellers trick to cure old yellowed decals that haven't been applied is to put them in the sun for a couple of weeks. Not sure if this also works with decals that have been applied to the model, but you might find more by googling modeling forums like these :

The only Ignition model I have is a rally celica and the decals are fine so far. Displayed in a plexi case for the last year.

I'm happy they're putting out some rally models but I wish they'd release a few things we haven't seen done before. There's a rich history of old Mitsus and Datsuns that dominated the Safari rally in the '70s that have yet to be released. You'd think that would be more of a priority for a Japanese model company.

Amen! Lancers, Violets, and some non-Safari Corollas should be a non-brainer I would think.
