Schuco 2015

Some interesting models.

I already have the price list for the models. The Pro R 43 series went up in price by a cup of coffee.

It's disappointing there is just one model shown in the 'Motorsport 1:43' series.

Nevertheless,I like the look of some of those Pro.R 43 models, especially the Porsche M.A.N. transporter (Art.-Nr. 450894400) and the Porsche bus (Art.-Nr. 450896600).

Could you PM me the prices (or just post them here).

Both of them retail for 179,95 Euros. (not exactly cheap) and the (Art.-Nr. 450894400) available in the 3rd quarter and (Art.-Nr. 450896600) is available in the 4th quarter.

Also if anyone likes the Pro R 43 Motorhome. I was going to order it, but after I saw the price I had changed my mind. It retails for 169,95 Euros.

Ouch ! At least with the weak Euro, 179,95 Euros is "only" US$ 205 (and by the time it appears in Q3 it might be only US$ 180 the way things are going !).

I don't buy coffee at Starbucks...... my cost went up by about $3.00US. So I guess retail is also the same.

The BMW concepts and the Porsche transporter are on my list but it's disappointing to see how few new models there are on the regular 1/43 list.

Danny, being our resident Porsche expert, can you tell me if the Porsche Bus ever carried race cars, or if it was just used for moving team personnel ? WIth the raised rear section it certainly looks like it was designed to carry cars.

The best picture I've seen of the bus is this one from later in its life circa 1970. Unfortunately it doesn't show the rear of the bus. I wonder if Schuco will also release this maroon version after the red one.

That bus was used as a mobile workshop and toolshed. complete with heavy machines, like a milling machine and lathe. No place for people or cars.

Thanks Danny. If it was just a mobile workshop then I'll probably pass. For that sort of money I can buy 3x Sparks, so I think I'll just have to admire yours.

Edited to add this picture of the Schuco models shown at the fair :

I take it that Pro.R is their resin line so I'm out.

Already ordered the M1 Hommage last week, expect to get it Wednesday.

The real one is also impossible to look inside, so the windows should be this dark.
