I agree with Tom, MC did turn round the industry at least at the "affordable" end of the market, the likes of BBR having already lifted the bar to the levels we expect today at the higher end. The likes of Vitesse and Rio were much less detailed and had pretty limited ranges. The trouble with Minichamps was that they rested on their laurels so when the likes of Spark and Neo showed up with proper glazing and widespread use of etched parts the MC models looked rather clunky and dated. Their more recent resin models are now state of the art - let's just hope they haven't left it too late.

Thanks! And also the spark catalog :)
I still appreciate minichamps. But the regular models just are too expensive now. But some of the resin models in those rediculously large boxes are great, and well worth it :)

If I get the Norseman, I might need a fish tank to display it...

LOL BertOne.. you are right, you only need to fill it with water and ready!

BTW what do you think about the color? The GADM version looks more greenish compared to this MC photo.

Claudiu, still see them on ebay so maybe you are lucky to get them at a good price.

For me this Dream Car range has been a return to Minichamps (all American concept cars have found their way to my home), including 2 Mullin cars (Xenia and Delahaye 165), and for the time being there is nothing else for me so I'm cool with them! Until they decide to release another beauty (which I think they will not do in a short term..). The market nowadays is so complex, and there are many niche collectors so they have to think well of what cars to model.

Not really, The last 2 weeks they released 4 le mans Porsche models of 2010. The spark models are on sale already, so nobody is waiting for the minichamps

I think you'll find these are re-releases Danny....but that's just as pointless and one of Minichamps many problems at the moment

These 4 are new releases, and announced 4 years ago. They will be dumped at ck models very soon I think.
