Next. This is the Eagle that Ritchie Ginther was to drive at the 1967 Indy 500, but he abruptly retired and Denny Hulme took over the seat.

Not sure, Phil. From what I can piece together Rêve Collection was not a Spark label; Minimax produced Rêve Collection models for Kokusai Boeki Kaisha, Ltd (http://www.kokusaiboeki.co.jp/). Checking the Rêve Collection entries on their blog, the first entry states (http://blog.livedoor.jp/kb_staff/archives/871894.html):
Although it is suddenly, October 7 (open to the public 9, 10, 2008) will be announced a new brand in will be held from "All Japan Hobby Show".

Its name, " Rêve Collection " "
It is newly born as a strong brand that the racing (rally) car who left the impression we modeled for each era.
Subsequent blog entries refer to "we" giving the impression it was a line of models developed by Kokusai Boeki and produced by Minimax. Unfortunately there are no blog entries past June 2012 and no official statements that the line of models was being stopped.

Last "new release" update for Rêve was posted on September 2013 (http://blog.livedoor.jp/kokusaiboeki/ar ... 60421.html) and was for one of the Starlets. I can't recall seeing any new Rêve models after those Starlets were released.

I thought Kokusai Boeki Kaisha was the official Japanese distributor of Spark. Hence the "KB Sparks" we saw 3 - 4 years ago.

http://scale143.com/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=6122

Maybe its more than a coincidence that the KB Spark series stopped around the same time as the "Reve" series ? Are Kokusai Boeki Kaisha still Spark's distributor in Japan ?

I have no idea if they are still the distributor. Spark's page doesn't list any distributor information and searching for Japan Spark Distributor brings up all the wrong stuff - as you could imagine.

He had a 50% chance since there was only 1 other starter in the R-GT class.

Think this one will pair nicely with my SPARK Nissan GTP ZXT #83 IMSA Winner Palm Beach 1988.

Looks good Paulius. I definitely prefer the look of the Golf to the Nissan shown above it !

Pretty unremarkable concept; I don't think I'll be buying. Spark have also bought out the VW XL1 Sport, quite nice but I already have the original XL1 so I'll be saving yet more money :)

Oh well, too bad, they did some nice stuff. Particularly love my Stratos models from them.

A friend in the US tells me the 2014 Daytona Deltawing is limited to just 350 pieces. It is available via the Deltawing website :

They also have the first enclosed car from 2013 Petit Le Mans :

Mid- to late-October, they are releasing this year’s red/white/blue car.

Kiwi collectors might want to keep a look out for the following listed as Coming Soon by Spark
SA081 C. Vander Drift Carrera Cup Asia 2015 (series Champion FYI) 300 only
SA079 C. Baird Carrera Cup Asia 2015 (2nd in series IIRC) 300 only
SG184 AMVantage GT3 #7 16th (N24?) Richie Stanaway 300only

Suggest you you get onto John or your regular dealer quickly

Also noted SG201 Glickenhaus SCG003c #9 Lauck/Franchitti/Jahn Mailleaux 1000
