TSM Last Emperor Cadillac

Post by cadillaclloyd » Sun Jul 14, 2013 10:08 pm

Had a small discussion on another board related to the model of above subject. Does anyone know if the 1:1 is/was actually available for photos/measurements, or was this 1:43 just a copy of a larger scale fantasy?

I would really like some insight into that, if anyone can assist.

Thanks, you know I appreciate it!

Well, wrote to them after the first post, and no reply.
Maybe the lack of reply is an answer.

This is an on-going discussion on the other board. These manufacturers always say they listen to their customers, but the reality is they do not.
The first one that really listens and uses the constructive criticism to build a better model will be the winner.

This one seems to be a real lashup. As nearly as I can tell, it's based on a clip from a movie starring Peter O'Toole (obviously not as Puyi) that you can find by googling Last Emperor. Cadillac didn't make an "8C" model so I don't know what that means and the model's wheelbase doesn't match any Cadillac of that year. Several references (which seem to know more than I) state that Puyi's car was a customized Lincoln-- and that does match the model's wheelbase. I'm not sure what it is but I'm pretty darned sure it's NOT a Cadillac!
