Cool collection. I can see why you like them so much.
For me, its a bunch of cars I have never seen and sponsored by products that I have no idea what they are.
Always good to see something new.

Good stuff. Can't name favourites really - I pretty much like them all.

Could you possibly mention model manufacturers in your posts? Interesting for curiosity and useful if anyone wants to seek out the same model :)

To answer a few questions, yes i do plan on increasing my collection (vastly) with many more cars from many more series and GM marques (i.e. Cadillac, Pontiac & Buick to name a few as they become available.
I have now updated my captions below each picture to include model brands too.
Most of them are freely available anywhere especially Ebay but a few are Ltd Ed or rare.
GM have been very successful around the world in this type of racing (some places better than others) and have had some awesome cars and liveries not to mention some of the greatest race drivers also. I find touring cars to be some of the best/closest racing there is anywhere.
Thanks for the positive input and i'll keep you up to date with any new additions, the next i hope will be something like a DTM Opel Omega Evo 500 from the early 90's or a Nascar or 2 if i can find some good ones. Might even stretch to a Chevy Cruze WTCC.
I did notice that Spark WERE supposed to be releasing a Cadillac CTS-V SCCA World Challenge car in 1:43 back in 2009 but it looks like this never happened. Shame really as they could also do this years CTS-V Coupe too.

Love your collection, all the greats from when every car maker wanted in on the touring car scene. Especially like the Cleland Cavalier GSi 16v BTCC and the Strycek Omega 3000 Evo 500 DTM. Very much wanted as Cavalier is a rare Racing Replica's? and i cannot find many/any ATS Omegas only the Jagermeister orange ones and a few others.

Out of interest, what's the quality like on the Lacetti? I've seen them floating around on eBay and been tempted.

I say that the quality is among the highest i know of. Everything seems to be just as the real deal. The french did well on this so i do look forward to getting hold of some of those Norev Chevy Cruze's.

Also thinking I'd quite like one of those. Had no idea Norev produced it until now.

Most of the cars are well known and as for the sponsors, more than half are motor related products and most can be found online. If you have any specific queries on sponsors then drop me a message and i can confirm the products/services they supply.

I love the livery on those Vectra's. The only thing I don't like is the shape of the headlights but on the racing versions they don't stand out too much.

Don't like as in the 1:1 or have they got it wrong on the models?

Cheers

No they have it right. Those headlights are pre-facelift and never suited the car in my opinion. I drive the facelifted version.

No Lee, the headlamp units are just as the real deal at that time. They had a new unit fitted a year or two later and stayed with those until replaced by the Insignia model. This has already been mentioned.

The Vectra was NOT one of my favourite models when first released (as my 2 DTM cars) but over time it grew on me and now i favour this more than the original 1995-Onwards cars. The last style lamps did help a bit though...not quite so bullish at the nose end.

Championat de France Supertourisme (French Touring Car Championship) driven by Alain Cudini. It is as rare as rocking horse mess and i got it for only £20 plus P&P....bargain. Pictures to follow as it is my christmas prezzie from my darling wife. 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

The last one of them I seen on Ebay didn't sell and it was cheap but the decals were all yellow.

I've had 3 or 4 of those models in the past and used them to convert into BTCC models!! Never paid more than £20 for them either, in fact I think I have a Hellary version waiting to be stripped.

If you like harder to get hold of models have you got this yet??

Image
P9080074 by kilohmunns, on Flickr

limited to only 25, but not very cheap though (£75 or £90 for a signed one)

Seen it, want it but cannot afford it just now. Still for sale by makers though so all 25 are not yet sold. I'd like to see the 2011 Plato car and the 2010 and 2011 McDowall cars too as i like to collect whole team sets.
