I really like the CTS-V despite it's angular body shape. The best Caddy by a mile in my view.

You sure do have similar taste to me. A great marque with a great vehicle. Looking forward to seeing the new 2.0ltr RWD turbo ATS model, it might make a good replacement for the Omega. I have contacted Cadillac about maybe entering this in the BTCC under the new NGTC rules and am waiting for a response. This would add yet another great modelling choice to my list.

The diecast maker will bow to pressure if only we could get 10,000 people to commit to one each.

In these times you won't find many manufacturers making 10000 units of any car. I would say 5000 is the most and that would be only for very popular cars or their drivers. Just look at the DTM Mercedes of late and you'll be lucky if 5000 covers all the 2010 cars (Only 5 Versions Being Made) Minichamps are making. I suppose it'll be a little higher if you include the dealership models.

These figures are based on when i last checked around 18 months ago. So you are most probably right given today's financial meltdown. Still a shame though. I'll just have to see if i win the lottery and set up my own diecast firm (or go down the scratch build/conversion road).

This is i believe the same model that i had seen recently marked for release during 2009 and therefore if it is still not with us now, it may never be??? But thanks for the update. Shame Spark do not have a website of their own.

Classic Caddy but what championship/race is it from and driven by who and when???

I'm guessing 1950's or at the latest the early 60's?

Sadly this car is still not ready (if ever) to be released, but i have signed up to keep updated. Sparks own website does not even show it as in the pipeline let alone ready!!!

This looks like great news, i spoke to a guy (Drew?) at Luxury Die Cast around a year ago and it now looks like they will take on this project after all as he initially told me that they do not do race vehicles and focus instead on road cars and specials (Presidential).
I would love to build a couple of these as per SCCA Pirelli World Challenge (see photo at top of post) and put them into my collection. Only need someone to be serious about the saloons (sedans) now.
The kit photos look great even though it is not yet ready for the shops and can therefore only get better. I must say however that the ironing board (spoiler) looks much larger than i thought it was but i guess the car needs it being a RWD V8 with a pretty large power output.

Can't wait :D :D :D :D 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Just e-mailed Drew at Luxury die cast again and asked whether or not the company has any plans of producing the SCCA and Superstar V8 saloons (sedans) as per my wish list. I will let you know the response as soon as i receive it.

Nice photo, this car was awesome. Elsewhere in the world it seems fans and teams like V8 power in their tin tops. I think we should have a home grown V8 series in the UK. 8-) 8-) 8-)

This is the latest from Drew at Luxury Die Cast in New York. Firstly my outbound message......

Hello Drew, it has been a while since i was last in contact with you. I am really pleased to see that there is a CTS-V racer model kit in the pipeline (looks awesome). I am writing to ask you if this means that there is the possibility of any resin or die cast models of the older SCCA sedan CTS-V racers as in the attached photos (2004-2008) and also the Superstar V8 series sedans (also pictured) 2008-2011?
Obviously this is a large selection but would appeal (i think) to many in the USA and Europe.
I look forward greatly to the release of the CTS-V coupe kit and will be adding a pair to my collection for certain. Very many thanks and keep up the good work. Les.

and the reply is...............

Dear Les,
These cars are on our radar and final decision will be based upon the success of our coming release.
Friend us on facebook and follow on twitter!
Stay tuned!!!
Drew

Sounds like great news to me and should appeal to all CTS-V fans.
