Nice batch Chris. HPI 155 is lovely
Andy

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

I can only second Andy's comments - 155 is magic. I have been putting off upgrading my Minichamps as it was one of my first models but I think it has to be done.

Watts Pug is class, and you can't go wrong with an HPI 155. Great adds.

Like all those a lot. The Golf is my favourite, I've seen so many pictures of the real car.

Thanks Martin - You should do it the difference is incredible. There have also been some good deals on ebay recently.

The Peugeots are very well built - shame the O'Brien one has a missing mirror

A nice model but I think Corgi could've done better.

Now time to move on to conversions - some are very minor changes while others are complete strip and re builds

I'll do a couple of easy Sierra's first!

1987 Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth - Andy Rouse - Very easy this one - all I needed was to take the Win Percy name off and replace with the Andy Rouse name.

1989 Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth - Guy Edwards - Changed the numbers and names.

Now a couple of easy Corgi Vanguard conversions

1992 Vauxhall Cavalier - Jeff Allam - Name/number/sunstrip changes (the names are a little too big so I'll get that sorted at some point) and its been lowered as well.

Another relatively easy one, this is a EBBRO conversion that just needed decals adding plus the front splitter

1973 Datsun Cherry - Alec Poole

A little more work on this Vanguard model - Name and number decals but also the bumpers and lights needed changing as well.

This last batch are a few non BTCC cars but on my sub theme of my favourite Touring car driver John Cleland

1996 RAC Tourist Trophy race - John Cleland - A simple ONYX conversion (not overly happy with the outcome and will re make when I get a good enough donor model)

1992 Toca Shootout - John Cleland - A very simple Vanguard conversion

1994 FIA World Cup - John Cleland - A Formule kit with added bespoke decals

Very impressive conversions, Chris! I'm a fan of the <1990s cars because they were so close to standard.

I agree with Tom. I know there are cost pressures but modern touring cars are not as exciting for me and gets less so the more "spec" they become. Our V8 Supercars are an example - while they might look like a Ford, Holden, Volvo, etc, they all have the same chassis, gearbox, suspension, brakes, etc. with panels attached they make them look like the different brands. They only major non-spec part is the engine. For me touring car racing [i]is[i] about the manufacturer and the more like NASCARs they become, the less interested I become.

I see on Ebay that you're selling the Primera's. Did you buy extra ones to sell, as I can't imagine that you would make much on them considering the cost of them in the first place?
