JasonPotato's touring car collection

Post by TouringCarExclusives » Mon Apr 23, 2012 6:36 am

Hi guys,

Seen as there's no official BTCC thread and everyone has made their own model collection threads i thought i might as well share mine with you all. Don't expect to see anything other than touring cars ;).

I will try and update this thread when i add to my collection.

In the meanwhile if you wish to view my collection click on the link in my signature. I also have some 1/18 models and a few others under different sets.

Thanks for the link, I looked briefly at some cars and they look great. Being swedish I perhaps particurarly appreciate the Rydell 850 from the nineties. Cool cars. Will browse more later. :)

Here are the pictures of my collection. They are currently in 2 cabinets and as you can tell im out of room which is why you cant see many of them. When i get a few more i'll have a sort out and clear out the bottom to make more space.

I have nearly all the same models as you but, I did spot a gem amongst them. The BBR Keith O'Dor Nissan Primera 8-) . A very nice model and I'm fairly jealous of you for having it.

That's the only model i have kept in its box since i bought it, you can see it near the bottom left in the BBR box. Just fits real nice in the box hehe but i will take it out at some point.

I like the focus, wish I possessed some of it.
Always have liked the way such a collection looks when its displayed like this. Like a mini history lesson.
Nice cabinets.

Great selection and pieces
OVERSTEER - is when you hit the fence with rear part
UNDERSTEER - is when you hit the fence with front part
HORSE POWER - is how fast you will hit the fence
TORQUE - is how far the fence will go with you

Like i said in my welcome post i have no interest in adding anything which isn't a touring car to my collection. I want to try and complete my BTCC collection from 1991 - present then i will focus on DTM from the 80s - 90s era.

I admit there are plenty of models you guys have which i would like but trying to focus my efforts on one thing.

If you want to impress me try and find the model in the photos that is out of place and then tell me what make and driver it is. 8-) (I'm not talking about the purple Lambo or the Blue Nissan ;) )

Thanks for your nice comments.

While I don't have enough knowledge to try and impress you, I can say that your collection is very impressive!

Really nice collection! Incredibly jealous, as I only have one touring car in my collection (Thompson Vectra 1996). Brings back some memories of the BTCC glory days!

Just finished changing the decals on this model to the correct ones and replacing the ones that were out of place. I will be listing it this weekend on Ebay and the bintcliffe car later at some point. I love these free listing weekends ;)

Only selling because i have duplicates of both cars.

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

I have neither, but they're smart. Always liked the supertourers, and ought to find a few. I would say a lot of them are due an updated model though.

Just listed the said item. Feel free to pm me if you wish to make me an offer. Remember this has the correct decals unlike the one which sold for just under £50 not too long ago ;)

Thanks for your interest.

Anyone noticed the 2010 Plato Chevy which has come up? It's a good job i have just been paid ;)

This is the one I presume. I like it, but not for the money it looks like making.
