Very unique looking.
When i was a boy, I had some pressed steel friction motored cars, one of them was a Renault with this nose. Thanks for the reminder.

Yup, the 'coal scuttle' nose. Really nice model, like the wicker sides.

1926 ~ Rio Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8A

I think the original made in Italy Rio models are my all time favorites, although Solido / Dinky / Mercury aren't far behind !

The Cadillac and Isotta Fraschini are quite colorful. They rival the colors we saw on American cars of the '50s. :)

Very bright colours! I often wonder what cars looked like back then, because many survivors and restored cars are painted in dark hues. This yellow does make it look very friendly and it's amazing that the model survived in this great shape.

I agree, sometimes the color choices are a little on the odd / bright side, in my opinion for these old cars. I'm sure a couple elaborate paint schemes
did exist, but guessing they were in the minority, and would cost you a pretty penny too ! This particular Rio looks a little brighter in pictures then it does in person.

I think the Panhard is my favorite Dinky model, was hunting it down for some time before
I found one within my limited budget. :D

For this week, another model that was captured on the cheap. Usually Mercury road cars
sell for good money ! So I lucked out on this one ! ($12) :
