I do like that a lot. Hadn't realised that Bristol made soft tops
Andy

British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

The reconstituted Bristol Cars company has been doing restorations and I believe the 405 convertible has appeared in adverts lately.

Back in the early '50's, Bristol put out some really styish road cars. Pity the same couldn't be said of their racing cars from the same period !

Image

The 405 looks very nicely done, The tonneau cover which is sometimes a weakness on 1:43's looks realistic.....and of course allows n unobstructed view of the interior detail.

The Dinky Toys 450 Road Racer was one of my favourite 'pavement' play racers. Thumb on bonnet and launch it along smooth tarmac, those twin fins on the back helped it stay straight as an arrow! I agree the 1:1 wasn't the world's prettiest competition car...

We know what you're trying to get us to say by showing these 2 together and we're not falling for it!
They are nice though.

Hmmm.... a trifle sudden sir. According to the Worldcarfans.com website Rolls Royce have just done a Phantom Coupe 'Tiger' edition in these colours for the Dubai Motor Show.

I like models with lots of little details. Not sure about the colors, though.

I am sure Dongguan will release it in other colourways. I'll buy another if they do a soft top up.
It's a truly super model for around £24.

Love the Vertigo and that Jag is surprisingly nice given the price although I'm not sure about the colour either.
