British roads have history. Some were built by the Romans. British road investment being what it is, they have only been re-surfaced a few times since.

All the world's roads have potholes. We also have pothumps. This is where the local council drops a slightly too large dollop of tarmac into the hole and then lets passing traffic finish the job.

A Shadow in any color other than Black is always something unexpected. I never knew of this car.
It sure shows off its lines much better than the black!

Remember going to GP's at Brands and Silverstone and buying some of the coveted Shadow stickers for the car. Fantastic old days - can we wind the clock back PLEASE!

Another nice one. I recall seeing a historic weekend at Silverstone on TV last year - plenty of F1 from this era. A Martini Brabham comes to mind. The tall air scoop reminded me instantly.

Great F1 castings, I see several I would like to add to my collection as well. Wonderful 1:1 photos as well.

If I remember correctly, and I probley don't, this was a customer car for Nichols. I don't recall Hill ever being on the team proper.

You're correct Ward - Hill wasn't in the Shadow works team, it was a private entry - a stop gap until the Embassy Hill GH1 came on stream. The team, of course, didn't last very long - it ended following the aircrash, which took the lives of Graham Hill and his protoge, Tony Brise

New guy here, but why hasn't someone done the BRM P261. I know it looks like a long cigar, But Sir Jackie Stewart didn't seem to mind.Ages(and I do mean ages!) ago I used to have a Cox 1/24 scale slot car of it. Why do I remember it so well? It used to strip the tiny threads out of the gear so often I had a supply of gears inside my box I took to the track to keep it going !
I loved that car, so where is a diecast of it. I don't think there has been one made as far as I know.
So how do you get such great pictures anyway. I like to think I can take pretty good pictures myself but those are great.
I may Bsmooth but you can call be Bruce !

First of all welcome to the forum

As to why no-one has done it i don't know but i suspect Spark will - somewhere on here is their 2010 releases which has a load of F1 cars - they are your best bet

Actually my pictures aren't all that but i'll pass on what i do as taught to me by Dave (Guitar & MG)

First and foremost as much natural light as possible. Then half zoom on the camera, then focus on the subject and move the camera to get it centre frame remembering to shoot off centre so as to not get massive flash reflection (I know Dave, i know but i simply don't get enough light into this old Victorian pile).

Once taken i use Windows Photo Gallery to adjust the colour etc, usually by auto adjust and then i use the crop function which magnifies the photo when cutting out the surrounding.

And i use a 7 year old Olympus Mju 400 4mp

Cheers

Welcome to the forum :)

I thought the BRM might be amongst SMTS's range, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Like Andy, I would think that Spark are the best hope.

For the pictures, you might find this tutorial that I put together useful.

I begin to wonder if it would work out cheaper for us to collectively acquire Spark (the company) than to actually purchase all of their models that we desire!
