and one from 1989 that I've been waiting a long time for. I was there and the sound the Astons made was unforgettable.

Lovely Aston Tim. Love the big fat wings they planted on the group C cars when they installed 2 chicanes on the Mulsanne!

the Aston is a great looking model. I saw one of these Astons at Donnington a few years ago at one of the Classic Race events the Group C cars attend, I've always liked it since then.

A busy couple of weeks have seen my Le Mans 2014 grid completed plus a couple of interesting older Le Mans cars.

First up is the Rondeau from 1988, finished but not classified, but a nice model with a lot of detail.

The next is the Gebhardt from 1986. I'm fond of the Gebahrdts because the Penthouse liveried car was the first 43rd scale model I built. This is rather better!

From 2014 the leading Rebellion and winner of the 'non-hybrid' class of LMP1

Finally the True Scale LMGTPro class winning Ferrari. I thank this a rather special model.

I had despaired of getting one of these. The pre qualification version in all black is pretty common but the race livery seemed to be unobtainable - until a couple of weeks ago several appeared on ebay in Australia. This is a Kyosho model. Inexpensive and quite good in parts, but it fills a gap for me.

Nice collection, great photos. What do you use for the base?

Your 'make-up' model collection is very much to be envied. Amazing detail at that scale. I have a few factory built Tameo Ferraris which approach that quality.

They are here at the end of the page. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5829

Very impressive collection Tim, your style of presentation is unique and a brilliant idea.

458 and Rondeau get my vote from the last few additions.

Two new arrivals picked up at auction. They fill gaps in the Mazda Le Mans story.
First is the 727C from 1984 by Bizarre. The car finished 20th.

Next is the 767B from 1989. The car won the IMSA class and finished 9th O/A. Model from Streamline.

Tim
Having only just joined in the fun on this forum I am starting to see what I have been missing. May I congratulate you on excellent work associated with all the different ways you portray your LM collection, it really comes across very well indeed. As my user name suggests I too have an avid interest in LM. Personally I use Picture Pride Display wall cabinets both in portrait and landscape format in which to display nearly complete and my complete grids (2006, 07 & 08). However, recently I have been thinking of how to make alternative display arrangements for smaller "themed/grouped" type collections. You have certainly helped my creative side think of those alternatives. Great stuff and very rewarding I shouldn't wonder.

And I'm not prejudiced against Fords either. These are the winners from 1966 through to 1969.
