Mercedes L309D 1985

Post by JSB33 » Tue Aug 04, 2009 6:38 am

Don't know much about these as we didn't get them over here but I like it. I saw it at a great price and am glad to have it.
IXO did a great job for the price point, the tampos are crisper than a Minichamps service car that I got in the same shipment.
Getting a nice little collection of EuroVans.

I'd been looking at that model Jeff - or more correctly an Altaya version from their Michelin series. It looks good - the relatively plain livery suits the van.

That looks great and it sure brings back some memories... I got to ride in an older model that was painted dark green.

Nice model, I like how more and more models have the thin photoetched wipers, they look so much more realistic and to the scale than the thick plastic rods majority of the models still have.
I remember quite a many of these Mercedes Van's were on the road, it was common sight in it's time here.

Glad to know that others like this one as much as I do. Caught this on a great sale at EWA and was happy to do so.

I'm not too crazy about this kind of vehicle, but that van surely looks good! ;)

Sorry to bring back a relatively old post, but it looks so good that I couldn't pass by and not complement. I recently bought a 1/43 Unimog and would love to add this.

Please, Craig, you weren't dead, and you were lying there in the way...
Had a similar experience when I was 17 with a motorcycle. Fellow cut me off. I whacked his bumper. He got out checked it, saw no damage( to his bumper)... and then drove off. Glad you survived mate!

Not so easy to say who is the better livery ;) The second in my opinion is much more popular and I have one in my collection because I have another 3 trucks in the same livery of ASG Transport, but... finaly I like more the first - the white 309 ;)

I've spent countless hours behind the wheel of several TN series vans, so I need one of those in my collection. The 1:1 is disappearing off the roads quickly, here...
