Another gift for my girlfriend, even though neither of us has ever seen a Trabant. :roll:

EXTREMELY cool looking model, RT!!! :)

I know the origin of some of those stickers. But I wonder if, anybody around here is able to identify them all!

He's obviously been to The Netherlands twice. Visiting all those countries would entail excruciating journeys in something as uncomfortable as a Trabant. Then there's the rest at night... or what passes for it. :D
Very cool model. I want it.

Has as much charm as a box full of puppies. Very cool indeed.
I saw a bunch of Trabants on the shore of Lakes Erie. They were at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame from the U2 Tour.

A couple have me stumped. "IL" must mean something besides "Illinois." "YU" = Yugoslavia?? No clue about "TR." :?

Here's another from my girlfriend's collection. 1:43.

IL = Israel
TR = Turkey
YU = Yugoslavia

Fiat looks great! We even had circus Renz in town a couple of times, very well-known outfit.

I'd assumed IL was Ireland.

If IL is Israel, I can only assume that a bunch of East Germans in a Trabant would be as welcome as a cat in a cage of budgerigars. Great model though - I don't think I've seen anything like it.

I love that! A very dubious used-car dealer here has a Mercedes van decorated with a Lamborghini in a similar fashion, but this looks much better.

It is an interesting model although they "overdid" the stickers decoration. 1) - the license plates are of BBR (East Germany) used until 1993; 2) EST stands for Estonia which was not independent until 1991, RUS stands for Russia which was created in 1991, too.. SLO - Slovenia, the same year after the fall of Yugoslavia which is also sticked on the window.
Not sure if it was an easy task for East Germans to travel to all those Scandinavian and other Western countries, too..
All in all it may be posible after the Berlin Wall fall back in 1989 and after 1991 as mentioned above :lol:

The Transporter is a very nice model!
